The Poliscia Beach
is located just after the beach of Mollarella and takes its name from the homonymous mountain where it is said that Pirillo, Greek inventor, built a machine of mechanical torture, “bull of Falaride”.
Also mentioned in the history books for the American landings of the Second World War.
Poliscia, like Mollarella beach, is an important archaeological area. Some of the findings date back to the first centuries BC, today they are exhibited in the museum of Licata.
The beach is made of fine golden sand within a picturesque coastal landscape. It is characterized by spectacular rocks that emerge from the waters. The sea is crystal clear and with sandy bottoms.
Suggestive sunset, often reddish colors, with the sun rolling through the waves slowly sliding over.
Thanks to the presence of many bathing establishments, Poliscia, during the day is ideal for families with children and at night with discos and live open-air music and other events.
The Poliscia beach is a few kilometers from the town centre and can be easily reached from the San Michele provincial road or from the panoramic road.
Parking is difficult, it is also connected with bus service from the center of Licata.
