Nicolizia
If you love the rough and silent scenery you have to go to the Nicolizia district, surrounded by wild nature with the typical Mediterranean vegetation.
Between the Nicolizia district and the Marianello beach there are, in the crystal clear sea of Licata, the cliffs of the “Balatazze”, “Nicolizia” and of the “Colonne”. Corners of paradise with spectacular scenery as well as rich in history. In these waters have been found finds belonging to the Copper Age, exhibited at the Archaeological Museum of Licata. Here we find the balades “Balatazze”, flat and wide rocks, that during the high tide are not visible because they are completely submerged by the water.
This part of the coast is especially recommended for lovers of the wild sea, where the rocks are the masters. It is here that it becomes wonderful to make diving in the blue and crystalline Sicilian sea and admire its marine fauna.
Sunsets are wonderful, especially if you plan to spend them discovering the territory.
This natural paradise can be easily reached by sea chartering a small boat, it is a little more difficult from the main roads. Due to its compliance is not very recommended to families with children.
