Mollarella

SPIAGGIA

The beach of Mollarella

is located a few kilometers west of the town of Licata. It is one of the most crowded and imposing of the coast, scenery of much of the “nightlife on the sand”.

Remembered in the history books also for having been place of the landing of the Americans at the end of the Second World War: it was the first beach on which the allied troops landed.
Mollarella and the nearby Poliscia beach are also an important archaeological area. Some of the findings date back to the first centuries BC, today they are exhibited in the Licata’s museum.

The view from the top has a landscape “postcard”, a breathtaking landscape, a natural spectacle not to be missed. The holistic landscape is transformed into an indelible memory.

Mollarella has the shape of a picturesque bay enclosed between two rocky promontories.
The sand is fine and golden, its waters are clear and crystalline, suitable for families with small children, thanks to its location and often sheltered from the winds.

The bay is full of receptive facilities where you can relax and enjoy good food with ample paid parking. In the evening, during summer, are organized events until late at night.

The beach is connected by bus service from the centre of the city, it can be reached from the provincial road San Michele or from the panoramic road.
